Labtec Photographic Processing was founded in 1987 to provide top quality photographic service to local professional photographers and other users of commercial photographic imaging.  Labtec's enduring mission is to match or exceed the image quality and delivery standards found anywhere in the Pacific region.  A complete range of optical and digital services provides convenient one-stop access for local and visiting professional clients.

The lab maintains a prized position as a leader in the New Zealand photographic industry.  From Auckland, the commercial centre of New Zealand, we attend to the needs of customers throughout the country as well as hosting photographers from overseas.

The Team

We have 25 members on the Labtec Team. All have an important role in providing you the best possible service. Experienced people who care about finished results make the difference.

Labtec is staff-owned with all shareholders working actively in the business. David Weikart, Alex Porteous, Jason Wu, and Sjoerd Langeveld head a group of technicians and support staff who make it their responsibility to ensure you get what you want.

Analog & Digital Services
Labtec offers a complete range of both traditional and top-end digital services. Dip and dunk film processing, custom hand printing, high-quality volume printing, a range of scanning and manipulation services, large format reproduction, and other specialty work. We have the facilities and expertise necessary to help with virtually any professional need.

"Prism"  Premium B/W Service
In January 2002 Labtec amalgamated the well-known Prism black and white custom printing business with our own B/W operations at 30 Karaka Street. The result is a full range of premium B/W products and services for the discerning professional.

EIC Digital Studios
In January 2005 Labtec added the activities of EIC Digital Studios, including
EIC Creative, a boutique graphic design and high-end digital reproduction specialist, expanding the digital capabilities and products available to Labtec customers. Labtec now offers a full design service capable of meeting client needs for business cards, brochures, flyers, posters, and point of sale displays plus presentation and interactive graphic assistance.
